Mangalore, July 17: Criticizing the alleged rape and murder case of Shiroor college student Ratna Kottari, Rasta Roko protest was staged by the ABVP activists near the Besant College in the city on July 17, Thursday
Jayaprakash, Organising Secretary of ABVP, addressing the protesters said that a severe protest will be launched if the Police Department failed to conduct a fair investigation and deliver justice in the case. He also charged the local ministers of not taking the matter seriously even when several cases of rapes and atrocities on women are reported.
ABVP leader Shivakumar, President of All College Students Association, Aditya Shetty, ABVP activists Gangadhar, Agneya Bhandari and several students participated in the protest.
