Bejai Bharati Builders shootout case: one more accused arrested

Mangalore, July 7: Mangalore CCB police have arrested Vikas Balanu Chauhan at Maharashtra pertaining to the shootout case at Bharati Builder’s office which took place on March 10, 2014.

 

The accused has assisted other culprits in the case and was the rider of the bike used in the crime. He is a friend of Ganesh Lakshman Saketh who had opened fire at the builder’s office.

Ganesh Lakshman Saketh along with Mukhesh Shivaji Kamble, Datta alias Dattatreya Tukaram Wagre and  Kamal Singh Rajput have been already arrested by the police  from Mumbai. Police have also seized a pistol, three rounds of bullets and a motor cycle used by the assailants. All of them are in judicial custody now.

Hithesh and Ganesh of Haleyangady who were informers to the assailants are also behind bars.

The operation was conducted on the direction of R Hitendra, under the guidance of under the guidance of DCP (law and order) and Dr Jagadish, DCP (crime) Vishnuvardhan, and led by CCB inspector P.S.I. Shyamsunder and other police personnel.
