Mangalore: Health Minister Sri U.T. Khader inaugurated the AYUSH awareness program held on Sunday at Talpady. The programme was a joint venture of KGAMOA- D.K unit, Father Muller’s homeopathic college, karnataka ayurvedic college and Suvarna education trust.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister informed that the Wenlock hospital will soon start AUSH unit with 50 beds.
The programme included awareness talk by experts, and medical check-up by 23 doctors (Doctors of Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Unani) and 17 Para-medical staff. The public was also provided with lab facility, free ECG check up and medicines were distributed freely.
More than 300 people participated and took the advantage of the programme. Free lunch was offered to all who had arrived.
Special officer Dr. Iqbal planned the program along with other members like, Dr. Devdas, Dr. Murali Ashrith, Dr. Ashfak , Dr. Shobharani, Dr. Manikarnika & paramedical team of NGOs.
