Mangalore: MP Nalin kumar Kateel inaugurated the Community Assisted Rail Development programme (CARD) at Mangalore Central Railway station on Thursday, July 3.
The voluntary service rendered by the children of Madhusoodhan Khushe School was appreciated by the MP, who also implored the Railway authorities to ensure creating awareness about safety, security and cleanliness amongst public.
Mohan A Menon, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, P. A. Dhananjayan, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, C. Muralidharan, Senior Divisional Safety Officer, S. Jayakrishnan, Senior Divisional Electrical Engineer (Traction) and Dr. Sivasankara Murthy, Senior Divisional Medical Officer of Palakkad Railway Division spoke on the occasion.
Stake holders like Railway catering contract staff, cleaning staff, staff of various departments of Railway and also representatives of Corporation Bank, Udupi Power Corporation, and others were actively involved in the programme.
