Four teenagers were arrested for allegedly bike thieves

Mangalore: Four teenagers have been arrested by the Urwa Police on Saturday, June 28 evening for allegedly stealing bike from the St. Gregorios Syrian Church premises in J.B. Lobo road near Kottara.

The arrested are: Ashwin (18), Ganesh (19), a resident of Akash Bhavan, Prajwal (18), resident of Kottara Chowki and Shoaib (19) from Kavoor Shanthinagar.

Police sources said that Ashwin and Ganesh were found riding a Splendor bike with the blurred number-plate while the Urwa police were doing a random check on vehicles at Kottara Chowki on Saturday evening. During questioning, they said that it was stolen from St. Gregorios Syrian Church premises in April. They were taken to the police station for further interrogation.

On interrogation, they revealed the names and addresses of the other two. Ravi Shankar, PSI, Omdas, Manohar, Santhosh Sasihitlu, Santhosh Sullia conducted the investigation was arrested the remained two accused.

The arrested were produced in court and were remanded to judicial custody till July 10.
