Kundapur, June 10: The State Endowment Department officials visited Kollur Mookambika Temple in connection with Shri Vimalananda Swamiji Samadhi on June 9, to study the situation and report the same to the Endowment Commissioner. Agamashastra Pandits were sent by the department to collect information.
The Samadhi issue seems to be prevailing and is being widely debated. Shri Nithyanada Ashram devotees had buried Shri Vimalananda Swamiji in the outskirts of Kollur Temple. The Kollur Temple administration objected the burial and asked Shri Nithyanada Ashram devotees to demolish the Samadhi.
Since the Kollur temple is administered by the Endowment department. Agamashastra Pandits namely Shiva kumar and Vijay Kumar were sent by the department to collect necessary information. The officials will furnish a detailed report to the Department.
The kumar officials after discussing with the temple administration and temple priests also inspected the Samadhi. They later met the officials of Shri Nithyanada ashram and listened to their grievances. The devotees of Nithyanada ashram said that, if the Endowment department orders to demolish the Samadhi they will file a case in the court. On the other hand Kollur villagers have called for a bandh on June 11.
