Mangalore, Jun 5: A youth was allegedly thrashed and his car was smashed by activists of a local outfit near Someshwar beach for going out with a girl from another community on Thursday, June 5.
The youth, said to be from Suratkal studying in an engineering college, was reportedly out on a drive with a girl from the same college. The girl, who is said to be a local residing near Konaje, was recognized by the activists.
Seeing that the girl was with a youth from another community, the activists reportedly grew angry and thrashed him. The youth was later admitted to hospital.
Ullal police arrived at the spot.
