Mangalore, May 22: ST. Christopher Association conducts an event of distributing books to its needy members and children every year. The Association was started for the welfare of drivers and vehicle owners by the initiative of late Bishop Basil D’Souza and FR. Fred V Pereira in 1967 with 132 members. This year the books were distributed in the Presidentship of Raymond D’Cunha.
Mr. Francis Cutinho, Chairman of MCC Bank was the Chief Guest and distributed the books. Speaking on the occasion he said, “The need of identifying and giving help to the society is a noble job and this has been done throughout by the association. This has impressed me and I would like to extend my help to the drivers and vehicle owners.”
President Raymond D’Chuna welcomed the gathering, vote of thanks was given by Secretary Advocate Herald D’Souza. Office bearers and executive members were present.
