Mangalore, May 19: B Ramanatha Rai, State Minister for Forest and Ecology and D.K District in-charge Minister stated that the Congress honored the directive of the people, the party has tasted both victory and failure even in the past but has never compromised with its secular stance. He said it would continue to do so in the days to come.
Speaking to press persons at the District Congress Office on May 18, Sunday, he expressed the hope that the new BJP government which would take charge at the Centre would ensure that the nation’s secular fabric was not endangered. The results will not affect the state government and CM Siddaramaiah will complete his full five year term, he added.
He informed, “Congress has not suffered major setback in the Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka and Kerala compared to the previous elections and in other states.”
