Mangalore, May 17: A man’s attempt to sell his 2 year old daughter was let down by The District Woman and Child Protection on Friday, May 16.
Ravi (father of the child), is a resident of Belthangady. He wanted to sell his daughter after he found it difficult to take care of his child after his wife’s demise. On Thursday he came along with his daughter to fish market near State Bank, Mangalore with the aim to sell her to a lady. Based on the tip off the District Woman and Child Protection officers detained Ravi who was going along with the lady in the auto rickshaw.
While the lady escaped, Ravi and his child were apprehended in the Woman Police Station.
