Mangalore, May 14: The thieves have broke open the house of Pius Oswald Pinto of Poopadikallu in Kadandale and wash away valuables worth ten lakhs.
In the complaint filed by the Pius Oswald Pinto and his wife at the police station within the limits of Paladka gram panchayat, stated that they had been to Roce ceremony of a relative on the evening of May 12, Monday and returned at 11 pm.
The incident came into light, on next morning, when they saw two cupboards wide open and gold worth about 10 lakhs kept in the cupboard missing. However cash and other valuables were intact.
On receiving the complaint, the police team had arrived at a spot. Finger print specialists and sniffer dogs have been pressed into action.
According to police, the thieves had entered the room through nearby window with some tools.
