Kasargod, May 10: Two thieves who were involved with the thefts in several mobile shops and jewellery houses have been arrested by Manjeshwar police.
Mohammad Rafique (26) of Kumble Kalattur and Iriatti’s KG Saju (34) are the criminals arrested.
The criminals used the technique of entering crowded mobile shops and stealing costly mobile phones. Rafique was trapped handed over to the police by public while he was trying to sell a stolen mobile in a shop in Kasargod.
Later facts came into light and Saju was arrested. It was discovered that they had stolen mobile phones worth lakhs of rupees and sold the same.
The criminals are being further interrogated by the police.
