Mangalore, May 02: CITU observed May Day at a function held in front of the DC office in the city on May 1, Thursday.
Several CITU workers actively took part in a jatha which was taken out from the CITU office on Maidan Road to the DC office.
Speaking at the function, CITU leader Vasantha Achari fired at the government for its anti-worker policies and stressed the need for the workforce to unite against oppressive policies.
J Balakrishna Shetty, CITU District President, former corporator Jayanthi, Yadav Shetty, Sunil Kumar Bajal and others were present.
