Mangalore, April 28: After the months of burning heat, the people of Dakshina Kannada district have experienced good showers, accompanied by thunder and lightning on April 26, Saturday and April 27, Sunday.
Apart from Mangalore, the places like Puttur and Sullia experienced heavy rain and claimed a life of person as lightening stroke on him. Various places also faced power cut problem due to lighting and thunder.
Few houses at Ananthady and Kutrappady in Kadaba limits were damaged in lightening.
Several places in Udupi district also witnessed good showers.
