Udupi, April 26: “Members of Udupi Shri Krishna matt who made Vanitha Shetty, the women who was sitting down for lunch at Bojana Shala, to leave the row, should be booked and they should publically ask sorry for such behavior,” said K. Shankar, District CPM chief.

He spoke at the protest staged against the discrimination incident that took place in Shri Krishna Matt. The protest was organized by Udupi District CPM unit in front of the DC office in Manipal

K. Shankar said, “This is an evil system which is followed in temples, every individual should be treated equally. Our fight is against the system and not against Brahmins and Temples. We will fight against this until the justice is provided.”

CPM Head Vishwanath Rai, Venkatesh Koni, Dasu Bhandari, K. Laxman, Suresh Kallagar, Narasimha and others were present at the protest.
