Mangalore, April 23: Addressing the gathering of all political parties and election observers held at  DC’s office, Harsha Gupta,DC & district election officer said in his speech that in order to conduct ensuing state assembly election-2013 smoothly, dot less, hassle free, co-operations, co-ordinations has been sought from all the political parties.

He further said that all the election related arrangements, facilities have been done as per the directives issued from chief election commissioner’s office. Besides in order to maintain law and order through latest technologies single window arrangements has been made for the benefit of all the political parties, he added.

In view of holding forthcoming general assembly election without any prejudice or bias and smoothly, details of whatever the steps. arrangements, department has taken had already been conveyed to all the political heads.

He advised all the political parties to contact 1077 control room in case of emergency or for any problems or for further clarifications.

He also informed that the voters list would be provided shortly to all the recognized political candidates and around 62,000 new voters’ names have been included under Sveep (Voters awareness programme) and adequate precautions have also been taken to ensure that no postal ballots and service votes are get wasted. Political leaders have placed their doubts, problems in front of the meeting.

As no other identity proofs are valid at the election booths, DC has advised all the electorates to carry their mandatory voters list along with them, while going for casting their votes, he mentioned

Manish Karbikar, Police commissioner, Dayananda-deputy commissioner, Dr.Harish, MCC commissioner, all poll officer, Abhishek Goyal-election commissioner and representatives from all the political parties were present in the meet.
