Bantwal , March 15, 2013 : Senior Congress leader and former union minister B Janardhan Poojari launched a scathing attack on RSS leader Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat, at a Congress victory meet held at the Poonja Ground at BC Road here on March 14, Thursday.
In his address, Poojari chose to dare Kalladka Bhat and question him for misguiding the youth, thus landing them behind bars. He further urged the party workers to overcome the atmosphere of fear created in the district due to the activities of the Sangh Parivar.
Poojari also urged the party men to continue to remain united and fight for the party’s win in the assembly elections with the same vigour with which they campaigned for the recently held ULB polls.
On this occasion, Poojari also promised that he would request the leadership to include the scheme of providing rice at Re 1 per kg in the party manifesto.
District Congress Committee President and Bantwal MLA, presided over the function. Vinaykumar Sorake, former MP, Mamatha Gatti, former ZP chief, Kodijal Ibrahim, Mailappa Salian, Bantwal Block Congress President and a host of Congress leaders and office bearers were present.
Earlier, the newly elected councilors participated in a vehicle procession on the main roads of the town. However, Ashwani Kumar Rai, KPCC Secretary who hails from Bantwal abstained from this grand ceremony revealing all is not well in the party.
