Mangalore, Mar 26: Minister for health and family welfare U T Khadar has been charged with an allegation relating to the allotment of a Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) site in the name of UT Nasima Fareed Memorable Charitable run by his younger brother.

According to the sources, Kukke Subramanya Swamy Temple Trust had applied for the BDA site and also deposited a sum of Rs 39,958 on February 2, 2013 for the construction of a temple information center at Bangalore and had also received approval and sent intimation to the executive officer of the temple to visit the site.

Nagaraj, executive officer of Kukke Subramanya Swamy Temple said that he had received the notice three months ago stating that site has been transferred to someone else. BDA is responsible for this transaction, he claimed.

Kishor Shiradi, a member of Kukke Subramanya Temple Trust, said that the temple s famous and lack full-fledged information center. Hence the trust had applied for a BDA site in Bangalore, but now it has been transferred to UT Nasima Fareed Memorable Charitable Trust.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Khader said that trust was established in 2004 and in 2009-10 there was a notification in newspapers seeking applications for the allotment of BDA sites. There is no connection with the trust and solely run by my brother. A total of seven persons had applied for this site and Kukke Subramanya Swamy Temple Trust is one of the applicants.

He also said that land was allotted to the Naseema Fareed trust as per law and rules since the trust is being run for the benefit of differently-abled persons. I am ready to face any inquiry in this respect, he said.
