Udupi: A man is sentenced to life imprisonment for killing his son. District court has given its judgement to the incident occurred 3 years ago.
Vasudev Nayak (51), the accused always doubted that his son Vishwas Nayak (10) was not actually his son but was someone else’s. The married couple Vaudev Nayak and Lalitha had 2 chidren, son was the elder and a younger daughter. One night when Lalitha was out of town for some work, due to frustration and doubt, Vasudev killed his son by choking his neck with a nylon rope and then escaped.
The case was registered with Manipal Police and Vasudev was arrested immediately.
The district court investigated the case and the murder was proved. Under IPC section 302, Vasudev was sentenced to life imprisonment and was charged with a fine of Rs. 5000. The judgement was given on Monday.
