Mangalore, Mar 24: “Lok sabha elections can be conduct smoothly in D.K. district, only if poll both officials have all required skills,” said A.B. Ibrahim, District Commissioner and Election Officer for Dakshina Kannada.
He provided necessary information to the officials at DC office here on Sunday, March 23. and mentioned that officials should look after the smooth flow of elections. No citizen should be deprived from his voting rights, so officials who take part in elections can vote this time, we have made arrangements regarding this, he added.
No vehicle movement is permitted up to 100 metres around poll centre. Mentally challenged people cannot vote. People having blindness can take the help of any official to give their vote, the same official cannot help other voters, said Sadashiva Prabhu.
Individuals cannot promote any party in election centres, such persons would not be allowed to vote. The voting is open from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm. Voting cannot be done after 6.00 pm, said the District Commissioner.
