Mangalore, Mar 20: BJP candidate from Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha Constituency Nalin Kumar Kateel files his nomination at DC Office on March 20, Thursday, at 11.15 am, to contest in the Parliamentary elections.
Sitting MP Nalin Kumar Kateel was accompanied by party leaders District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak, MLA Angara and former MLA Rukmaya Poojari, MLA Monappa Bhandary during filing nomination and handing over documents to DC A.B. Ibrahim, who is also the District Election officer, in the presence of District Election Expenditure Observer Dr Shantheshwar Swamy.
Speaking on the occasion, Nalin Kumar said that with the blessings of party workers and supporters, he has filed his nomination.
He also said that the people have kept a note on the achievement during the past five year and this is the reason to achieve victory in the coming election and no one can stop Narendra Modi from becoming the prime minister of the nation.
It is recalled that in the previous Lok Sabha elections in 2009, Nalin had defeated Congress leader B Janardhan Poojari with 40,420 votes.
