Mangalore, Mar 13: The City Crime Branch officials have arrested three aides of underworld dons Ravi Poojary and Kali Yogish, near road connecting Taudugoli Cross to Natekal Cross on March 12, Wednesday.
The arrested has been identified as Nittu (23) of Karkala, Abubakker Siddique alias Siddique (26) from Mudipu and Guruprasanna of Salethur in Bantwal.
On receiving the information of the four accused plotting to rob influential persons in the city, the police arrested them near Manjanady canteen on Wednesday morning. One accused managed to escape from the police. The police also arrested Motorcycle, three swords, chilli powder and six rounds of live ammunition from the accused.
It is learnt that the gang were collecting information about entrepreneurs and real estate builders and providing to Ravi Poojary and Kali Yogish.
Sub Inspector Valentine D’Souza along with Sundar and other personnel made the arrest under the guidance of Vishnuvardan and Dr.Jagadish, deputy commissioners of police and direction of City Police Commissioner R.Hithendra.
