Mangalore: “The primary aim of the institutions should be to mould the character of the students to guide them to face the life with courage, determination and to make them good citizens opined” Sri U.T. Khader,Hon’ble Minister for Health & Family Welfare. He was addressing the students as a Chief Guest on the “Annual Day Celebrations” of Shree Devi Group of Colleges (Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Hotel Management, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Social Work, Information Science and Business Management)held on 08.03.2014 at Loyola Hall.

He further added that students should live up to the expectations of their parents by registering good performance during their academic career. He also expressed his happiness over the Shree Devi Group of Institutions which has emerged as centre of excellence in academics. Later he felicitated the achievers in academics and congratulated them.

Karnataka Bank Non-Executive Chairman Sri Ananthakrishna speaking as a guest of honour said that students should develop competence and confidence for recording good performance and the institution should be geared to accomplish this feat. Student’s enthusiasm blended with intelligence and hard work will yield desired results. Student days are memorable one in one’s life, he added. He also advised the female students to opt for entrepreneurship career for their future prospects.

Chairman of Shree Devi Education Trust Sri A. Sadananda Shetty presided and felicitated the achievers in the sports field. Principals of respective colleges presented their annual academics and sports achievements reports.
