BJP will win more than 20 Lok Sabha seats in State: B S Yeddyurappa

Mangalore, Mar 4: Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa said that the development during Congress government in 2013 was ‘zero’.

Speaking at the press meet held at circuit house on Mar 4, Tuesday he said that the differences opinion between Congress leaders itself shows the failure of the party.

Commenting on KPCC chief Dr Parameshwar’s statement on CM Siddaramaiah for not allotting even one percent grant for the minorities. Parameshwar even stated that CM only speaks of giving importance to the welfare of backward classes, but nothing has been done so far.

Yeddyurappa said that everyone had expected good budget presentation from CM Siddaramaiah, but it turned out to be a failure. Congress government has not given proper development, law and order and good roads and these are the words said by the Congress leaders themselves.

Speaking on the achievements of BJP government during his regime, Yeddyurappa said that BJP had introduced several welfare programmes including Suvarna Bhoomi scheme which benefited 10,000 farmers, Suvarna Gram Yojana for the development of villages which has been stopped now and under Ganga Kalyana Yojana 10,500 borewells were dug in 2010-2011 and 11,000 in 2011-2012, while the Congress government have dug 661 borewells in 2013, he said.

He also said that under Bhagyalaxmi scheme, bonds were distributed among 2,54,273 beneficiaries in 2011-2012 and 3,99,823 beneficiaries in 2012-2013, while Siddaramaiah’s government distributed bonds to only 1,416 beneficiaries.

Yeddy said that BJP is getting good support throughout the nation for the upcoming elections. Large number of youth are coming forward to support Modi and rendering voluntary support without expecting benefits.

BJP will win more than 20 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka and have hope to come to power in the state once again in the next Assembly elections.

The final list of Lok Sabha candidates from the state would be sent to BJP high command in two or three days, he added.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Former minister Shobha Karandlaje, BJP district president Pratap Simha Nayak, former district president Padmanabh Kottari and others were present.
