Mangalore, Mar 1: Assayyid Hamid Fazal Koyamma Tangal Madani Koorat popularly known as ‘Koora Tangal’ has been appointed as Ullal Qazi, after the death of previous Qazi.
Koora Tangal has been chosen to succeed his father after the death of his father and previous Qazi Tajul Ulema Assayyid Abdurrahman Al Bukhari Ullal Tangal.
The decision of appointing new Qazi was passed at the special annual general body meeting comprising members of 28 Mohallas falling under Ullal Dargah.
Speaking at the press meet held on February 28, Friday U S Hamza president of this body said that new Qazi will take charge on March 13.
Ullal Dargah managing committee general secretary U T Illyas, vice president Ashraf Ahmed, secretary Mohammed Ashraf, and various other office bearers and members were present at the press meet.
