Shirva: Freedom from addiction is possible, only when we stand beyond our weakness; Surgeon N.S.Shetty

Shirva; Feb 26: Inaugurating the recently held 669th Abandon Alcohol camp organized jointly by Sree Kshetra Dharmasthala Gramaabhivridhi yojane, Akhila Karnataka Jana Jagrithi Vedhike (AKJJV), Karnataka State alcohol control Mandali and local service centres in Herur Vishwakarma Sangha’s auditorium, Bantakallu Dr.N.S.Shetty, Abbettuguthu Padur, senior surgeon said in his address that most of the families in the society have become vulnerable due to alcoholics. Addictions kill the life. Freedom from addiction is possible only when we stand beyond our weaknesses, he said.

K.R.Patkar,Camp’s organizing committee samiti president has presided over the function.Naveen Amin Shankarapur, taluk president of Jana Jagrithi programme,Ashok,Shirva police station in-charge,Damodhara Acharya,president of Herur Vishwakarma Sangha,Malati Dinesh,project officer,Vokkoota’s central president Pravin Gurme,Zonal president Rajesh Acharya,Camp officer Ganesha Acharya were present on the occasion.

Dugge Gowda, district project director delivered an introductory speech.Dinesh Herur proposed vote of thanks, Mohan, project’s supervisor hosted the programme.
