Kundapur;Feb 24 : Addressing the press reporters in the press meet held in press club on Feb 23,Sunday evening, Kundapur legislator Shreenivas Shetty,Halady said in his address in angry tone that the development programmes,which were undertaken due to my efforts during the period as legislator like Kodi-Kundapur and Kundapur Aanegalli bridge construction, is now the leaders of other political party are projecting through fake propaganda as if their government’s development programme by putting banners and flexes and gaining political benefits. If they got any proof or evidence to substantiate their claim, let them come forward to talk in front of the public or media and unnecessarily misguiding the public is not healthy sign in politics, he fumed.
He further said that he was the one, who had been trying for the past several years for the implementation of projects like Kundapur-Kody Bridge, coming under the jurisdiction of Kundapur Municipal Corporation and the construction of Aanegalli Bridge, belonging to rural part of the region. But it is very much hurting me that now as the election dates are fast approaching, during this occasion, one political party is making loud propaganda in the name of their leader as if their own government’s achievements. If at all, if they got any proof or evidential documents claiming, they only tried or this work is being done only by them, let them come forward to talk in front of the public or media. This is not healthy sign to follow this route for political achievements, he opined.
At the same answering the question asked by the journalists, after tendering my resignation to BJP party, many parties approached me but I have not taken any decision yet in this regard, he said.
