Mangalore, Feb 19: District Administration in association with Department of Kannada and Culture and District unit of Karnataka Kshatriya Maratha Parishat observed the 387th birth anniversary celebrations of Chatrapathi Shri Shivaji Maharaj at Town Hall on February 19, Wednesday.
Speaking after inaugurating the event with the floral tribute, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the youth must always remember the fighting spirit of Shivaji to serve the society.
Delivering the key-note address, P Sarvajna Achar, retired teacher said that the parents must enlighten children on the ideals and virtues of Shivaji.

Arya yane Maratha Samaja Sangha president Devoji Rao Jadhav, Karnataka Kshatriya Maratha Parishat Joint Secretary Suresh Rao K Laad participated as the chief guests.
Karnataka Kshatriya Maratha Parishat district president AV Suresh Rao Karmore and Department of Kannada and Culture Assistant Director Chandrahas Rai were present.
