Mangalore, Feb 11: MLA J R Lobo inaugurated the Makkala Habba, a Children’s Festival organized by the Department of Women and Child Welfare at Town Hall on February 10, Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, lauded the effort of department for organizing such an event for children and also urged the department to organize such programmes in Pilikula so that children will enjoy every moment.
Participating as the chief guest, DC AB Ibrahim said that the department must hold similar kind of programmes in all taluks.
DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai felicitated children selected for the state level Kalashree Awards.
DK Zilla Panchayat President Koragappa Naik presided over the event.
ZP Vice President Rithesh Shetty, CWC Chairperson Asha Nayak, Member of the District Implementation Committee of Bala Vikasa Academy Maunesh Vishwakarma and Gopadkar were present.
