Mangalore, Feb 6: B Ramanatha Rai, DK District in-charge Minister and State minister for Forest and Ecology inaugurated the 34th National Masters Athletics Championship 2014 at the Mangala Stadium on February 6, Thursday.
The event was jointly organized by the Dakshina Kannada Masters Athletics Association and Karnataka Masters Athletics Association.
Around 1400 from 22 states presented an attractive march.
Deputy Commissioner A.B.Ibrahim, Indian Masters Athletics Association President T.O.Jacob, former athlete Rohith Kumar, DK District Masters Athletics Association President KS Kodanda Rame Gowda and District Youth Services and Sports Department, Deputy Director Parshwanath participated as the chief guests on the occasion.
Businessman Harsha Moily, Indian Masters Athletics Association Secretary Gerald D’Souza, Organising Committee Chairman K Tejomaya were present.
