Mangalore, Feb 4: Street vendors Association under the aegis of CITU staged a 24 hour dharna in front of the Mangalore City Corporation office on February 3, Monday demanding alternate place to run their business.
Addressing the protestors, CITU leader Sunil Kumar Bajal, said that they are not running their business near Central market not with the intention to hit the bellies of Market merchants, but just to earn their livelihood and with no alternate place to run their business, hence they urged the City Corporation to make alternate arrangements for the street hawkers.
The protestors demand the permanent place for the street vendors, which will not affect the permanent vendors business and their business too.
