Kundapur; Jan 28: Addressing the valedictory function of ‘25th National traffic safety week’ held on Jan 27, Monday evening in Bhandarkar college’s R.N.Shetty auditorium organized jointly by district police department, traffic police station Kundapur and city JCI Kundapur,Gayathri.N.Nayak,tahsildar,Kundapur said in her speech that it is the duty of every citizen to follow the laws.
She further said that if the students, starting from their student’s life, try to understand the principles of law with patience and tolerance will enable them to live as man of integrity, respectably in the society and take them to the heights of a sense of time and general trends of honor.
Participating in the programme, Rajesh K.C.second in command, district home guard force said in his speech that when everybody has got the minimum of knowledge about the laws, number of crimes will be reduced. The traffic violations/offences are the main reasons for more accidents and deaths of innocent people. Young inclination, zest among the youths will become the reason for big scale accidents/disaster. Every citizen, those who love and respect the nation, should respect and honour the law of the land, he opined.
Prof.Kota Shantaram, HOD of the commercial department of Bhandarkar College has presided over the function.
Kundapur sub-station’s DYSP, C.B.Patil and city JCI president Nithin were present as guests.
Parameshwarappa, traffic police station’s sub-inspector, who will be retiring shortly and Vishwanatha Kharvi, constable for his sincere and diligent service have been felicitated on the occasion. Students and chiefs of the different educational institutions, who have participated in 25th national traffic safety week, have also been honored.
Kundapur circle inspector Diwakar delivered an introductory speech.Imran, sub-inspector of traffic police station approved the report, city JCI Haikady welcomed and Divya.K.Shetty, student of Bhandarkars College compered the programme.
