Kundapur; Jan 27: A case of a suicide bid by an accused by jumping into the well in front of the court was reported on the day of hearing on Jan 27, Monday at around 1.45 pm in the afternoon.
The accused has been identified as Chandrashekara alias Ramesha Poojary,aged 36, a resident of Kavoor,Manglore,was the man who tried to commit suicide.He was arrested in connection with the two-wheeler theft near Kundapur few years ago.
Details of the Incident:
The accused Ramesha Poojary,who was arrested in 2013 in connection with the theft of two-wheeler near Kundapur Jaalady,was lodged in Hiriyadka Jail.He was brought to additional Kundapur court for hearing by DR police vehicle on Jan 27,Monday.
After the hearing at around in the noon,he escaped from the clutches of the police,when he was being brought inside the vehicle and jumped into the well situated in front of the court.
However,since there was not enough water in the well,no major casualties reported and sustained minor injury on his jaw.Head constable of Kinnimulky Dinesh,got him out of the well and shifted him to government for treatment.
A case has been registered in Kundapur police station
