Mangalore, Jan 27: As a part of Republic Day celebration, the Mangalore Motor Sports Association organized a Vintage car and bike exhibition and rally at Nehru Maidan on Jan 26, Sunday.
The audience were mesmerized by the Yesteryear beauties displayed including 1953 model Mercedes owned by Anil Soans, the 1959model Willy’s Jeep of Rajaneesh, the 1929 model Ford car, the 1967 model Mercedes, the 1932 model Austin 7, 1954 Fiat Elegant, 1976 Suvega, 1968 Lamby and Rajdoot GTS.
Around 51 vintage vehicles including 13 cars and 38 two-wheelers took part in the rally. The participants were presented with participation certificates.
According to Sumith Rao of Mangalore Motor Sports Association further the association will hold a motor rally and auto show.
