Mangalore, April 15: It has been reported that dead body of a man, supposed to be the building contractor was found near the Kelarai church close to Neermarg on April 15, Monday at 11.30 .AM
The deceased has been identified as Krishnappa Poojary aged 58, a building contractor by profession.
As per the reliable source, Krishnappa had received a call on April 14, Sunday, afternoon and accordingly he went out all alone in his Bolero car and did not return.
However on the following day i.e. on April 15, Monday, family got the news that Krishnappa had committed suicide. Liquor bottles were found in his car.
According to family’s statement Krishnappa had never such habits and he was a teetotaler and he might have been poisoned to death.
The family sources also claimed that many people have taken loan ranging from Rs.35-5o Lacs from him.
Though the motive behind this gruesome murder was not yet confirmed, it was believed from the reliable source that borrowers who have taken loan from him were unable to repay the loan, might have been poisoned poojary to death.
Krishnappa has two sons named Punith and Nishant.
The body was taken to Wenlcok hospital for post mortem.
A case has been registered in this regard by Kankanady rural police station.
