Bantwal: With the on-going road safety week in the city enough precautions have not been taken by the motorists also due to the confusion in the roads which is already prevalent. Today yet another accident was reported in the morning near Annalike at Bantwal which has claimed the life of a man.
The accident is said to have occurred between a lorry and a bike killing the biker on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Padmanabha Acharya(62). . It was learnt that Padmanabha Acharya was riding his bike on the wrong side when the lorry form the opposite direction rammed into him. It is a Tamil Nadu bound lorry bearing the registration number (TL37J-2430).
Case has been registered with the Bantwal police station and further investigation is on.
