Kundapur; Jan 22: In an incident, this occurred on Jan 22, Wednesday afternoon in the school premises, a bus driver of the city’s private school, assaulted his fellow driver under inebriated condition for informing principal about his drinking.
Kota origin Ranjith Kumar was the driver who came heavily drinking in the noon and Sundar, another driver who informed to principal.
It was said that during noon, because of an altercation between them many public gathered on the place. As the situation started becoming worst, Sundar’s friend also came to avoid. When the situation became out of control, police intervened and took them to police station for inquiry.
With the help of Alco-meter Ranjith Kumar’s alcohol consumption was confirmed and it was also confirmed that rest of the two people have not consumed alcohol. Police have registered a rampage case in public place against all the three people. But Ranjith Kumar only said that I have not committed any mistake, took leave for afternoon duty and in the evening another driver was there to take children back home,he convinced.
The public got annoyed against the drunkard driver for playing with the lives of hundreds of school children. School management has informed that accused driver will be suspended.
