Udupi; Jan 21: After releasing the books in “Mukta Vijnana Upanyasa Maale” programme organized jointly by Udupi Poorna Prajna College and Karnataka Science and Technology Academy on Jan 20, Monday in Poorna Prajna auditorium, Dr.K.G.Rao, professor of Indian institute of Science said in his speech that for the present science, there will a big big questions ahead like presence of tons of carbon di-oxide in the atmosphere, increase in temperature and including scarcity of food, he said
He further said that world’s today’s total population is 750 crores.But earth has got the capacity of holding only 250 crores.For the remaining 500 crore people water, foods to be provided. Out of the rains fall on the earth, only 2% of the water will be flown on the earth. In that, only 0.2 % of the water is fit for drinking, he added.
Therefore, there will be a big responsibility on Indian scientists of saving the future generation. Accordingly adequate teaching should also to be needed for the children. But our teachers lack level of quality. There will be a vast difference between American teachings and Indian teachings.Our’s is slavery teachings, he opined
Inaugurating the programme, Admar Math’s educational institutions president and Matadheesha Shree Vishwapriya Tirtha Swamiji, while blessing the programme said that if mechanics encountered any problems, technology should provide the solution. Therefore students must utilize the manifestation of original science, he said.
He also said that as the technology progress, danger also inevitable. Without science, there will be no technology. Machines and technology should go hand in hand. Original science is the foundation of science invention and only when the original science is strong, then only nation can grow progressively, he said.
