Udupi; Jan 19: Shree Kaaniyoor Matadheesha, 37 year old Shree Vidhyavallabha today morning at 5.50 am ascended Madhwa (Servant) Peetha and received ‘Dheeksha’ for devoted service of Shree Krishna for coming two years.
This would be the 7th Paryaya of 31 circles, which is being held once in two years in Udupi Shree Krishna Math.Kaaniyoor Shree,who was on Paryaya Peetha for the last two years, has got Shree Krishna Pooja and administration power from Shree Sodhe Vadiraja Matha Shree Vishwavakkabha Tirtha.
As per the tradition of Paryaya Mahotsava, paryaya procession was started near Jodukatte at 3.30 am today morning. All the participated 6 Matadheeshas seated in their respective palanquins kept on the vehicles and by participating in the procession laid a foundation for new custom.Shirur Shreeji’s open jeep with Ganapati statue in it, which was well decorated and illuminated with colored lights grabbed the attention of the people.
Kaaniyoor Shree,who after taking bath in Dandathirtha near Kaup,out of 8 Mathas,five Matha’s 6 Swahili’s presence, has offered special pooja to Patta’s God Yoga Narasimha at Jodukatte.Thereafter all the Swamijis seated in their respective palanquins, arrived to car street after having passed through court road,Tenkapete.
Procession reached Car Street at 5.10 am in the morning and from there 6 Matadheeshas came near Kanakagopura. At 5.20 am Kaaniyoor Shree had the Darshana of Shree Krishna through Shree Kanakana kindi.
At the Pravesha Dwara of the Math, Kaaniyoor Shree was welcomed by outgoing Peetadhipati Sodhe Shree, has brought him inside the Math and made him to have the Darshana of shree Krishna through Navagraha Kindi.
Thereafter Kaaniyoor Shree was brought to the sanctuary of the temple and by placing Math’s Pattadha Devaru in front of Shree Krishna and offered pooja and as symbol of pooja Akshayapatre, sanctuary’s key and ladle (wooden spoon) have been handed over. Then at 5.50 by ascending Madhwa Peetha, took the charge of Mathas for the next two years.
Rest of the religious rituals has been performed at Badagu floor. All the seven Matadheeshas arrived to Rajangana where the Darbar is being held in procession.
Along with Shree Vidhyavallabha Tirtha, Pejavar Math’s senior Yathi Shree Vishvesha Tirtha, Krishnapur Math’s Shree Vidhyasagar Tirtha, Shirur Math’s Shree Laxmivara Tirtha, Palimar Math’s Shree Vidhyadheesha Tirtha, Pejavar Math’s junior yathi Shree Vishwaprasanna Tirtha and outgoing Yathi Sodhe Math’s Shree Vishwavallabha Tirtha have participated in the Darbar.
This time also Puttige Math’s Shree Sugunendra Tirtha and Admar Math’s Shree VishwapriyaTirtha were not participated in the Paryaya Darbar. Representatives of religious places, who visited from Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala, Shreerangam of Tamil Nadu, Tirupati, Mantralaya, Kanchi and Kumbhakonam and Tirukovinoor, have offered their contribution, mite and other materials in the form of Prasadham to Paryaya Shree.
Dharmasthala Dharmadhikar Dr.D.Veerendra Heggade, district in charge Vinay Kumar Sorake, delivered congratulatory speech.MP K.Jayaprakash Hegde, Udupi Legislator Pramodh Madhwaraj, Captain Ganesh Karnik, former minister Nagaraja Shetty, District SP Dr.Boralingayya, Dr.Mane and among others were present.
Kaaniyoor Swamiji has felicitated 15 achievers in different fields on behalf of Shree Math by conferring Narasimha Prashasthi on them. Those honored were Dr.Vyasanakere Prabhanjanacharya,scholar from Bangalore, Vidhwan Sagri Raghavendra Upadhyaya,social activist P.Dayananda Pai,Bangalore,P.S.Bagilthaya,Mumbai Ravi Shyam,Neramballi Raghavendra Rao,Jaya.C.Suvarna,Alevooru Shripati Acharya,in medical field Dr.H.S.Ballal,Dr.Krishna Prasad,Dr.Shridhar Holla,Artists Kadri Gopalnath,Upadhyaya Moodubelle,Journalism Bangalore Vishveshwara Bhat,Dr.K.P.Rao in computer achievement have been honored.
Absence of Admar and Puttige Shree:
Madhwaacharya, who installed Shree Krishna in Udupi had opened Astamathas for performing daily Pooja and had distributed power of administration equally to Astamathas.But of late, in recent days, it is very rare to be seen organizing the programmes of Mathas collectively.
This has been documented in today’s Kaaniyoor Shree’s Paryaya procession and Darbar meet.
In spite of extending an invitation by Kaaniyoor Shree, both Admar and Puttige Swamijis have desisted from attending both the programmes.Admar Shree has taken his individual decision of not to attend in procession and Darbar since many years of Paryaya,accordingly this year also he did not attend. But Puttige Shree, it was told that in order to escape from awkwardness for Kaaniyoor Shree, he has taken this stand, it says.
Ever since Puttige Maths Shreesugunendra Tirtha Swamiji had gone abroad for religious propaganda after his second Paryaya, still some of the Maths are opposing it. That is why, it was inevitable to stay away since 11 Paryayas, sources said.
Exposed different conduct:
Although soft natured and soft mannered Kaaniyoor Shree had good relationhip, rapport with all the Yathis of Astamathas, today by not participating both in procession and Darbar, differences of opinions amongst Yathis clearly came to light.
While five Yathis participating for first time in vehicle palanquins, Shirur Shree only in his palanquin with Ganapati idol in it participated in open jeep.
