Kundapur; Jan 16: Under the aegis of Akhila Bharatiya Vidhyarti Parishat, a protest was staged in Basrur Shree Sharada college premise on Jan 16, Thursday condemning the up-loading of the obscene pictures of Udupi female student in social network Face book and demanded to register rape case against the accused Yasser, who played with the future of young student and Deralakatte black mail case.
Students by boycotting the classes in the morning participated in the protest. The students, who shouted slogans against atrocities targeting young college students and Love Jihad, demanded to provide adequate protection to the students and to take stringent action against the accused involved both in Udupi and Deralakatte cases.
On the occasion, ABVP taluk convener Sachin Kumar Shetty, ABVP Basrur city secretary Abhishek Devadiga, ABVP college unit president Jayakara Shetty, activists like Shreekanta, Nataraja, Sandesha and other male and female students were present.
