Mangalore : Agriculture minister Krishnabyre Gowda said that Swami Vivekananda played a pivotal role by advocating the ideals of discipline, self respect, inter dependence, patients and co-existence he motivated Indians.
He was addressing after inaugurating of ‘National Youth Day,’ organized as part of valedictory of 150th birth anniversary celebration of Swami Vivekananda at Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mangaladevi, Mangalore on Sunday.
He further said that When we look back at development in terms of traditional values the progress has not been up to the expected level.
Dr.N.Vinay Hegde, vice chancellor, Nitte University released ‘Narendra,’ short film on childhood days of Swami Vivekananda produced by Sri Ramakrishna Math.
Swami Jeetakamanandji, president, Sri Ramakrishna Math, J.R.Lobo, MLA South, Prof.Raghotham Roa and Tejaswi Surya were present.
