Udupi; Jan 06: After inaugurating the 14th year’s annual day celebration and release of 2014 Sangha’s Dairy of Karnataka state sub-zone’s forest officer’s Sangha, Udipi Unit, Dr.Sanjay Bijur,Mangalore circle chief forest conservative officer said in his address that presently forest officers and employees of the forest department have to intensify their movement inside the forest. From this, more knowledge can be acquired than what is available in the books. Government has given an important task of conserving the forest and to save for the next generation, he opined.
He further said that in view of protecting forests, locals and grama panchayats are planning to utilize environment samitis.From this, it is possible to implement government orders more effectively and about forest more awareness should be given to future generation. In this regard, role of teachers are more prominent, he said.
Udupi district SP Dr.Boralingayya, M.B.retired sub zone forest officer have been felicitated on the occasion.Sangha’s district president Prakashchandra presided over the function. At the same time, elevated sub zone forest officer and public achievers have been felicitated. Certificates for blood donors and for winners of art of painting competition prizes and Prathibha Puraskar have been distributed.
Chief guests like Udupi Social forest department’s assistant forest conservative officer A.S.Muhammad, Akbar, Karnataka cashew development corporation, Kundapur division’s assistant forest conservative officer Chandranna,Karnataka State government employees association’s district president Subramanya Sherigar,Sakleshpur’s writer Girimane Shyam Rao were present.
