Kundapur/Hasan; Jan 02: It was reported that in one of the horrifying and dreadful accidents occurred near Gulagunda bye-pass in Hasan’s Chennarayapattana on Jan 01, Wednesday night seven people have been killed and eight people sustained serious injuries.
In one car, members of the same family of Kundapur Gangolli origin Pradeep (30) his son Josva (2), Sonia (26) Philomena (25) and in other car Tumkur origin Manju, Siddaraju, Ranga, were the unfortunate people, who succumb to tragic death of nature’s call.
Now, Kundapur origin, wife of deceased Pradeep Priya and car driver Vijaya and Santhosh, Shankara and Prakash, who were travelling from Tumkur in other car were seriously injured and were admitted in Hasan district hospital.

It was said that this tragic accident occurred between Indica car, Honda city and Swift car near Gulagunda cross in Hasan’s Chennarayapattana.Four lane and widening of road works was in progress in that place, it was told
Sources also said that Kundapur -Gangolli origin Pradeep’s wife Priya, son Josva and other three have left to Bangalore on Jan 01, Wednesday early morning. Pradeep and Priya were couple, Sonia was Pradeep’s cousin and Philomena and Priya were siblings.

Unnatural death for four people of Kundapur Origin:
Basically residents of Gangolli church road Clifford and Jenvi couple’s son Pradeep, (30 ) Walter Pinto and Helen Pinto couple’s daughter Sonia (26),Solomon Lobo and Irene Lobo couple’s daughter Philomena Lobo (25) and Pradeep and Priya couple’s son Josva (2) were the misfortune people, who were died in the horrifying accident.
Sources said that Padeep was working as hardware engineer in Bangalore and Sonia was a professor in Bangalore.Philomena, after finishing her MCA, went to Bangalore in search of employment. Injured Priya was a house-maker and relative of Vijaya Pradeep.
Came on Christmas holidays:
According to the sources, after getting an employment in Bangalore, Pradeep was settled in Bangalore with his wife and son. One week prior to Christmas festival, they came to their native house in Gangolli road on Christmas holidays to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
It is said that they happily, with great pomp, enthusiasm and gaiety celebrated Christmas and New Year along with family members and friends. Little did they know that it was their last Christmas and New Year celebration? They even attended Tuesday night’s New Year’s midnight mass (Pooja) in Gangolli’s Kossesanvo church and left to Bangalore on Wednesday early morning at 5.00 am in their Honda city car,it was told.
