Mangalore, April 13: Ashraf-former mayor and President-DK Mangalore Congress south block, who had publicly raised a banner of revolt against the candidature of JR Lobo, from Mangalore South, took a u-turn on April 12, Friday and softened his stand.
Ashraf, told reporters on Friday that there is no differences within the party and no compromise on the candidature of JR Lobo from Mangalore south in the ensuing state assembly election and work and campaign collectively for the victory of JR Lobo/congress.
However he criticized that the four times MLA N.Yogish Bhat had no notable achievements to his credit.
The revision of water tariff, self assessment tax, approval for single sites had alienated voters from the BJP, he lamented.
Suresh Ballal-KPCC member, Mithun Rai-Youth congress leader, Nagendra-President, South block and others were present.
