Karkala;Jan 01: After receiving various demands of the labourers in Kalturu Laxmi Cashew processing unit and listening Kalturu-Santhekatte village laborers various problems, demands on Dec 31,Tuesday,Pramodh Madhwaraj,legislator has called upon the villagers to join hands with him for the all round development of the region.
He also said that priority will be given for the government primary health centre in Kaltur, multi-village drinking water programme, power problem and repair of rural interior roads.
He further said that 7 thousand people were distributed BPL card in 7 months period in his constituency and because of his special request, government has agreed to distribute boiled rice to BPL card holders effective from January. For homeless people, houses, under Vajpayee health programme, treatment facility will be given. Besides in order to give free power to BPL ration card holders, union government has released Rs 28 crore to Udupi, he said. The widows above 40 years of age and women separated from their husbands will be given Rs 500 monthly pension under Manasvini programme and informed eligible villagers to avail the benefits of these programmes.
He announced that being a legislator, sole purpose of his life is to live respectfully, with great honor by serving the people honestly, sincerely without accepting single paise as commission or bribe.
