Udupi; Dec 30: Annual day of Bailur Vasudeva Kripa English medium higher primary school, a subsidiary of Udupi Manipal Academy was held on Dec 23, in school auditiorium.
In the programme which was held under the presidentship of school convener K.Annappa Shenoy,legislator Pramodh Madhwaraj,co-ordinating officer U.Kalyani Pai,headmistress Smt.Amitanjali.K,Smt.Yuktavathi Ramachandra, current and former president of parent-teacher’s association,Ganesh Ural were present on the stage as chief guests
Smt.U.Kalyani Pai has welcomed the guests, dignitaries on the stage accompanied with Student’s Chende beating (drum) and percussion instruments. On the occasion a silent prayer was offered as a mark of respect to the departed soul of national poet G.S.Shivarudrappa.
Smt.Chitra Purandar has introduced the guests and Smt.Amitanjali has approved the school annual report.Smt.Shailaja, Smt.Surekha Prasad read the names of prize winners.
Pramodh Madhwaraj,legislator said in his address that in shaping the future of the children primary education stage is very important and responsibility of the teachers are abundant, he said.K.Annappa Shenoy in his presidential speech while lauding the progress of the school, explained the problems of the management in detail.
Shree Ganesh Ural, smt.Yuktavathi Ramachandra spoke on the occasion.Smt.Parvathi Prabha proposed vote of thanks. Variety entertainment programme was organized by the students.
In the morning programme, CMC vice president Smt.Amratha Krishnamurthy by unfurling the school flag, aiming at children something whispered. Another chief guest Bailur ward’s corporation councilor Shree Vijaya Poojary apart from congratulating children and teaching staff has also sponsored morning breakfast.
Children like Shreekanya,Dhanya,Ananya,Shreya,Akhilesh,Shravan,Nidhi.N.Pai,Priyanka Pai,Nishita,Pooja,Prasanna Lahari Tantry have actively joined hands with the programme.Lakshmeesha,Parikshit,Sujan,Shravan Prasannaraj’s Chende,percussion instruments was the special focus of the programme.
