Karkala;Dec 28 : Addressing the press reporters in the press meet held on Dec 27,Friday,Maniraj Shetty,president, Karkala BJP unit, said in his address that it has been decided to hold booth level convention on Jan 05,in legislator V.Sunil Kumar’s Vikas office’s outdoor stadium.
He further said that now BJP has strengthened its wing and the number of booths in Karkala constituency has been increased to 202. Ananda Bandimata has been appointed as BLA chief and booth level agents will be appointed for all these 202 booths, he said.
He further said that opposing the state and national highways pathetic condition and against the decision of union government’s ban on areca nut, a padhayatra, will be taken place from Hejmady to Byndoor and from Karkala around 500 BJP activists will be participated, he said.
Continuing his speech, he said that in case Kasturi Rangan report is implemented, people of western Ghat slope will have a bad impact and Malekudiyaru, dalits will have to face problems and hence government should give up the idea of implementing Kasturi Rangan report, he demanded on the occasion
