Karkala: Workshop for construction workers about government facilities

Karkala; Dec 17: On behalf of Catholic Sabha Karkala, zone, workshop on Karnataka government’s timely service act-2011 and information about government facilties for construction workers was held in local Christ King auditorium.

After inaugurating the workshop, Maxi D’Mello, regional president said in his inaugural speech that citing the example of articles that appearing in the news papers about the corruptions in the government departments and subsequent problems faced by the people of rural region, proper knowledge about the timely government facilities, can be get done by bribing and avoid visiting government offices frequently.

He further said that sometimes government will implement some good projects. But lack of proper knowledge, information about the projects, will make the government department to keep it in their custody only. Therefore the purpose of conducting this workshop is to make you to understand about the government facilities and how those facilities can be reached to the people of rural region.

Joseph Rebello, who was present as resource person has comprehensively explained about the government’s timely project, services and about to know in the departments and adequately answered all the questions raised by the audience.

Soloman Alvares, joint treasurer of Catholic sabha Kendra, regional samiti’s intimate former president Smt.Leena Menezes, regional former president Smt.Matilda Lasrado were present on the stage.

Jerome D’Mello compered the programme, regional former secretary Smt.Irene Menezes proposed vote of thanks. In the programme Sero Malabar Church, Bajagoli, Mala, Kervashe and Malankara Church Ajekar have participated.
