Karkala; Dec 09: As a result of negligent riding by the bike rider, an incident of bike skidding was reported in Mullur Ghat NH 13,in Mala village of Karkala taluk. Due to skidding, the rider of the bike fell down on the ground and got severely injured. When he was being taken to hospital, he breathed his last on the way and his fellow rider was luckily escaped with minor injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Santhosh Acharya, aged 26, a resident of Mapalu Kambladhaddu house in Nooralbettu village.
Sources said that when Santhosh along with his neighbor Prashanth Acharya were going towards Karkala from S.K.border in his bike, he put his bike in neutral gear in slope road and rode negligently, resulting an accident.
Prashanth Acharya has lodged a complaint in Karkala rural police station.
