Kundapur; Nov 26: In one of the rarer of rarest incident, honey-bee bites to the people have been reported from Kundapur near Kedur’s village panchayat.
According to the sources, it was around 2 pm in the afternoon irritated honey bees, which were coming from the nearby forest with ‘gnuee’ noice’ attacked the people, who were walking alongside the panchayat road.
Among the people who have been attacked by honey bees Sumanth, a Kota college’s PU student, son of Malyady Laxman and Susheela, a resident of Kedur after taking first aid from Kedur Chikitsalaya, have been admitted in Kundapur’s government hospital for further treatment.
Many of the honey bees’ bites victims have been returned to their respective homes after receiving first aid in Kedur. Along with Susheela, who is undergoing treatment, there was a small baby, whose father has committed a suicide recently. At the time of honey bees attack, due to the presence of mind of Susheela, she covered the baby with her sari, fell on the baby topsy-turvy and was yelling for help.
But nearby shop owners and public, when they themselves were struggling to protect themselves from the attack, nobody has come to her aid. The honey bees continued its journey even up to panchayat office and attacked many people there including PDO. The reason behind this attack was, a bough of the tree fallen on beehive.
Congress leader Malyady Shivarama Shetty, Municipality member Sridhar and among others have paid a visit to the hospital.
